My name is JiaoYuan（焦元）, a Master's student in Bioinformatics at SCU, advised by Prof. Tao Ma. I am committed to using computational techniques and mathematical models to investigate fundamental questions in life sciences. My research focuses on single-cell transcriptomics and evolutionary genomics. I develop bioinformatics tools and visualization packages, and apply deep learning to multi-modal biological data.

I graduated from CDUT with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Engineering, and started my Master's at SCU in 2025.

I appreciate clean, minimalist design. I dislike Windows. Arch Linux fits my taste. I enjoy programming in Python for its simplicity and broad ecosystem, and C for performance and low-level control.
